The consultancy agency IDEA-Co conducted successfully a three-day in-house training program in GIKIL for company’s workers and internal auditors in the area of new requirements defined by ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 14001: 2015.

New standards for organizations’ management and quality assurance provide companies with an additional opportunity to streamline their business and management processes. Benefits of this kind of system are obligatory process approaches, risk management in organization, understanding of internal and external contexts, establishing of the leadership and commitment, change management, and knowledge management.

"I think we have successfully mastered the transition of the system to the new 9001: 2015 standard, that we have mastered the audit by process approach, and that we managed to prove through theory and practice that all the participants understood this and that they would be able to conduct audits in this organization. Personally, really, I was delighted with the examples we heard, this was a very professional employee approach and that is how good training should look like. The training  was, of course, very demanding, but we managed to finish the work at GIKIL within three days while in some other companies we did it in a couple of months. The teams were good, responsible, there was an outstanding dedication to the task and I think that we all did a good job together", said Sead Jahic, lecturer and founder of IDEA-Co Gračanica consulting company.

After the transition of the documentation in progress, the plan is to carry out official internal audits in coordination with GIKIL’s Quality Management Sector. Then, in July, a transitional audit for the new standard would follow, and the preparation and awarding of the certificate with a deadline of September 2018.

"Our trainees have adopted the knowledge they will need in the coming period because GIKIL will therefore transfer from 9001:2008 to 9001:2015 standards. We do not want to take this change just as a change of documentation; we would also like to take advantage of the opportunity to make significant progress, which was also the core idea of the ISO Technical Committee. IDEA-Co will also offer us a process reporting form based on the new system so that internal auditors can complete their work more successfully and efficiently. After the evaluation of the system, we will be able to go for the transitional audit for the new standard, and the awarding of the new certificate itself will also confirm our readiness to adopt new standards, and thus a new management philosophy in our company, "said Almira Jašarević, coordinator for ISO training in GIKIL.
