INTERNATIONAL GALLERY OF PORTRAIT TUZLA IS RICHER FOR TWO MUJEZINOVIC'S PAINTINGS

From today onwards,  International Gallery of Portrait Tuzla is richer for two Mujezinovic's paintings.  Global Ispat Koksna Industrija Lukavacdonated to the Gallery two oils on canvas, called „Escape“ and „Joy“,  in permanent exhibition.

“Permanent exhibition of Ismet Mujezinovic was established on September 2, 1982.  In our fundus we have over two thousands Ismet’s works and  it is of great importance for us, as well as the entire city and family Mujezinovic,  to continue the care and protection of his works.  I hope that other institutions, where are works of Ismet Mujezinovic, and people also, will find that the best way to preserve and show work is in the International Gallery. This is big day for our Gallery  because of the fact that these works were repeatedly been reproduced, especially the work "Joy". I want to thank GIKIL due to its decision to donate them to the Gallery ”, pointed out Dzenan Jusufovic, Director of International Gallery of Portrait Tuzla.

According Guntupalli Jagannadham, Managing Director of GIKIL,  Management of the company has decided to shift paintings from its gallery in order to preserve the works of great painter Ismet Mujezinovic and to give opportunity to all visitors of the International Gallery of Portrait Tuzla for enjoying in their beauty.

“We knew about importance of these two paintings in the world of art as well as for the International Gallery who protect works of Ismet Mujezinovic. So we decided that GIKIL should give its contribution  to extend that collection. Considering that this Gallery was existing some 46 years and that Ismet Mujezinovic was one of its founders, we believe this is the best place for these paintings”, said Guntupalli.

During his address Jasmin Imamovic, Mayor of Tuzla, stressed the importance of donation and conservation of works of Ismet Mujezinovic:

“It is a valuable gift from the company GIKIL and it is important as a gift of respect to Bosnia and Herzegovina and its art. It is important for Tuzla. This is a great example and also an invitation to the other companies, that own works of Ismet Mujezinovic,  to bring these works to the Gallery of Portraits, in order to insure their appropriate storage and to provide the opportunity to other people also to see them. We sincerely thank GIKIL for its contribution in the preservation of Bosnian national treasures”, said Imamovic.
