GIKIL AND UNIVERSITY OF TUZLA SIGNED AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION

Global Ispat Koksna Industrija Lukavac signed the agreement on mutual cooperation in the field of education, research and scientific activities with University of Tuzla and Faculty of Technology on November 26, 2010 in Tuzla. The agreement was signed by Deputy Managing Director of GIKIL Faik Buševac and on behalf of the University of Tuzla and Faculty of Technology by Rector Prof. PhD. Enver Halilović, and PhD. Amra Odobašić.

"This agreement is important for the Faculty of Technology and the Global Ispat Koksna Industrija Lukavac because of it allows us to understand this branch of industry and their problems and it also allows them to use part of the resources that we have. Teams from both sides will expand and strengthen the cooperation which is especially important due to opportunity for our students to apply knowledge that is acquired in the course of our faculty," said doc. PhD. Amra Odobasic Dean of the Faculty of Technology inTuzla.

According to Faik Buševac, GIKIL has already successfully cooperated with the Faculty of Technology. This agreement will further empower the cooperation between them.

„Economy needs to go into its growing relationship with the science for mutual benefit. Now, students will be able to meet with our technology and we will be able to meet with their knowledge and experience that is acquired in college. Our collective will need to rejuvenating of employees, and this is a good opportunity for those students who demonstrate the most knowledge and skills after graduation to find a place in our collective", said Buševac.

Enver Halilovic said that the University of Tuzla has a long tradition of cooperation with the economy, which promotes economic development on the one hand and the development of the University on the other side.

"In accordance with this agreement, students from the Faculty of Technology will work their internship in GIKIL and our teachers will be able to update their knowledge based on experiences from the industry. This is a trend that should be developed and upgraded. I'd be happier if will be more contracts such this,"said Prof. PhD. Enver Halilovic the Rector of the University of Tuzla.
